There are some issues with Side 2 track 1 with 5 clicks in the first 30 seconds then3 loud clicks just before the band start up. The rest of the album is superb. Like many covers this is laminated and it’s still in good condition. The back, is a [modern day] trendy grey with a couple of marks. The spine is lovely and legible.

What you get here is a bit of a mixed bag. Some self penned songs, if I’m honest, none of which blow me away, interspersed with some real classics. Or at least a take on them. Each to their own but to me, if you cover songs from a different era, you need to add something. Well, for sure, these guys certainly added to classics such as ‘Like a rolling stone’ and ‘California dreaming’.

But they are loved songs, by loved artists. So, it’s a brave approach to take and I’ll leave it up to you as to which camp you sit in. Are they better? Do they add to the originals? Would it make you seek out the original artists? Would you listen to these versions rather than Dylan and Presley? That conundrum is purely personal. It’s a tough gig.
