The album was play tested by myself and played through and the quality is excellent and a perfect example of mono music. However a friend also play tested it and found the album jumped on Side 2 Track 1, but I suspect his stylus weight was incorrect. There is, however, quite a bit of arm movement.

A few marks on the label with the letters L.G on Side1.

Very sturdy and a little tarnished. Lynda Griffith written in the top left hand corner at the back. LG initials also bottom right corner of front. No tears or splits and the spine is still fully legible.

Strangely the back of the cover only lists the tracks from Side 1 – odd!

The record sleeve is a fabulous announcement of pop history in the making. A snapshot of time expressing the optimism of the decade to come whilst leaving behind the darkness that enveloped Europe and the world after the war. Here is an example:

‘Here’s the big beat sound of the fantastic, phenomenal foursome’. And that is just a taster. A US ‘introductory’ LP of their music it isn’t the obvious singles which stand out here. There are examples of how good these guys were at writing music straight from the off.

Take a listen, it’s a fantastic representation of pop music at its dawn of time coupled with a sleeve extolling the excitement and expectation of a decade of music from the best band of all time.
