BRIEF SUMMARY
Anyone picking up an LP from 1972 with a song title on it entitled ‘The minstrel song’, will probably know what to expect. Released during Mick’s most prolific period of song-writing it was his third LP released just after the turn of the decade. Prolific is probably an over exaggeration and his recording career appears to have come to an end in 1976. He appeared uninterested in following a life of commercial success, instead, after running folk clubs in Hertfordshire, settled for playing in folk clubs as the years passed by. He recently passed away, in September 2017, after living his later years in Ireland.
