The vinyl has hardly a mark. Plays beautifully. Gatefold with slight corner rubbing and if you look hard, some numbers indented in the front cover which has come through from a lean on writing session. Original lyric inner. Spine is great and fully legible.Slightly unusually, the sleeve and inner sleeve randomly lists the tracks in no particular order. Only the label lists the tracks as they play.

If you take a look at The Allman Brothers web page, they list 59 LP’s released over the past 50+ years. By the time you read this it may be into the 60’s, and when any band releases a ‘live at Filmore East’ (described by some as the best live LP ever released) titled LP, it suggests it might be downhill from that point.

Well, fast forward 8 years and this will grip you. Not being a connoisseur of their music I cannot compare, but all I can say is that if you like US blues / rock from the magical era of the 60/70’s then this is definitely one for you. They had not released anything new for a few years before they came up with this and it was well worth getting back into the studio to create this masterpiece.

A band with a long history who, I suspect had many a story to tell in terms of friendships, financial losses, and record companies, this will blow you away. Sit back, turn it up, enjoy a master class of American blues rock in all its glory.
